GM Sanctioned Supercharger
Anyone who can respond for GM. I have heard that GM will be releasing/offering a bolt on supercharger that will not void the warranty. Is this in fact the case? There are many of us out here who want to develop the already fine engineering the GM has created in the LS3, but we don't want to start turning bolts and void the manufacturer's warranty.
Please let us know. |

You would think so! They have to be tired of Ford producing all that Mustang HP and kicking our Camaro A$$!

I dont know about that but you have GM dealers like Berger and Tom Henry who are slapping SuperChargers and Tunes on and still honoring warranties.

So i picked up my 2SS/RS last week and the aftermarket manager gave me the sales pitch about GMPP parts that were available for my car. Short throw shifter, GFX, ect. So just 2 be funny, i asked him about a supercharger and he says "we sure do". Huh? I asked him, "you install superchargers"? He said they use the SLP package and if i purchase it and have them install it, they will honor the factory warranty. For real? I have my doubts so i asked him to work up an estimate with all the details (tuning, boost) and I'll be going back to the dealership next week for a detailing, so hopefully he'll have some good news.

Dodge has been making noise about doing this. Ford has been doing it for a long time. I'd like to slap one on that GT - bring it up to about 500 hp.

Yeah that's dealer by dealer just like speedshop to speedshop. Don't think GM as whole will ever sanction it... would be nice though... |
