Touching...I really wish I could hear more stories like this... Its sad that most of these stories will be lost as time goes on. I have a great respect for our vets as I could never see myself in their place :flag2:

I like when my gramps tells his WWII stories - he used to hate talking about it, but once in awhile you can get him going. Especially now that my grandmother passed away - he's living back then in his head. It's sad but the things and details he remembers are amazing.
