Detroit and Chicago Auto Show

Since no one is in the auto show forum am posting it here. I have been told the production model Camaro is going to debut at these two events

The St Louis Auto Show is scheduled for Jan 28th - Feb 1st.

I sure hope they have a REAL production car (open and available to see and touch), there should be NO EXCUSES that late in the show circuit schedule.

Agreed. I will be there looking for it as well. They usually put on a really good show and it would be great to actually be able to sit in a car i've had ordered for months now. Even if it isn't mine yet.

I hope Caddy brings the CTS Coupe too - that's a head turner too.

Really?

Being that regular production starts later in February, how do we do that????

My intent is not to flame you --

We learned at Indy that no matter what you do, some people will look at a pre-production interior and 'not get it' -

Yup -- there we were - -the Black/White IVER --- with hard plastic panels on the doors and I.P...................I said time and time again "these are not the production door panels...yaddayaddayadda...." -- and SURE enough........I overheard several people say - "I hate this interior - these door panels look cheap compared to the Mustang" --

Soooooooooo...........until we get production intent cars with grained and finished interiors -- cars cannot be opened............

There MAY be a few shows that have a car that's open - but I cannot at this point in time tell you which ones...........

Thank god; but ya know the old expression "In one ear and out the other" can't help but be applied here. Hopefully when NAIAS rolls around people will be all "HOLY CRAP What happened to the chinsey GM interiors?"

"Oh yeah, we fixed that.."

<_<

I can't wait for January. For once, living in Toledo is worth something (Do not start about the Jeeps. That's the one thing I yell at the news about)..

2010 CHEVROLET CAMARO: Chevrolet will display the production 2010 Camaro during the 101st annual Chicago Auto Show, with sales beginning in the first quarter of '09. The new Camaro is a heritage-inspired sports car for the 21st century, combining great looks and performance; advanced technology and surprising efficiency – including 26-mpg estimated highway fuel economy. Built on GM’s new, global rear-wheel-drive architecture, the Camaro is offered in the 3.6-liter V-6-powered LS and LT models, as well as the 6.2-liter V-8-powered SS. All models and powertrain combinations include fuel-saving six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmissions. Camaro offers two suspensions. LS and LT models receive an FE2 (sport) suspension, while the SS receives the FE3 (performance) suspension, including a lower ride height.

I just went in my pants. AWESOME!!! I don't think my friends will be able to pull me away at the Chicago Auto Show. I spent 30 minutes staring at the Bumble Bee last year behind barriers.
