Loved the pics..........hate it that I never met you at Hot Rod Power Tour or Camarofest! I cruised Woodward back in June, but it wasn't like that. I may have to make this one year............

Yes, indeed it is cool to see Woodward come to life over the whole week. Grandstands being set-up, Booths and tents, etc. Like a HUGE party. Whicih of course it is.

Thank - you. Don't hold your breath on being photographed. Sorry. I grew up in Dearborn and my dad retired from Ford, however, if I take a photo of an old Ford it will be of an older Mustang. But if I know it is you I can find a way to get you here. ...

Great job as usual Mike!!! Thanks for sharing. Looks like your photos will probably be the only view of the Dream Cruise we will have this year. We were hoping to make it out there today but I doesnt look like it's going to happen. Enjoy, Have fun and keep the pictures coming!

Wow, amazing pics of a ton of amazing cars. I'd love to see that in person but I have to wonder what it would be like to actually be in that traffic. Does it just inch along? What if you're a local and you're just trying to get from point A to point B?

If you're trying to get from Point A to Point B, you have to take a different route Most of the locals hate it - some go out of town for the week. Personally, I'd gladly trade houses with someone who lives along Woodward -- I hate being an hour away.

Not to steal Mike's thunder, but here's some more pictures that my wife took last night while out on Woodward:

For those not familiar with the Woodward Dream Cruise - it's a one day event on the 3rd Saturday of August. Woodward Avenue in general, though, is a cruising mecca when the weather is nice. Manufacturers actually have driving tests which were born out on Woodward Ave. During the spring, summer, and fall you will see people cruising on Woodward every Friday and Saturday night. Leading up to the day of the Dream Cruise, though, people hit Woodward hard and pack the streets. Honestly last night driving 3 miles took about 20-30 minutes from the traffic creeping along.. It's great!

Does it inch along... in some cases you can walk faster. As you can see in these pictures... Batman is passing cars on his bike. lol

As for being a local business... you are better off closing down for the week because most places will lose money just staying open unless they serve food.
