2010 Camaro "E" Body??????
I work as a Parts Salesman in a Chevy dealership and my buddy just showed me that our parts catalog has the 2010 Camaro under "E" model not "F"......
Any other parts guys out there that can verify this????? We have the Snap-On Business Solutions catalog updated Jan 2009. FBodfather......is this temporary or is this true? No more F body???? |

The Camaro is not an F-body. It is on the Zeta platform.

What I mean is since i have been looking up parts the camaro has been a F body. I'm sure the platform has changed since 67-02 yet it remained an F body. why not keep it the same?

Zeta is in the place of F in the Greek alphabet.
The VIN, I believe still has E as the clasification. But I thought SS and the other fought to make the F in the VIN somewhere. But I think its just the retraint system. So I think its still an f-body, but not in terms of being the SAME f-body like before.

GM has moved away from the alphabetical classification system on cars. The new one is the great alphabet. alpha, zeta, gamma etc.

Can't believe that today is the first day I've run across this concern. It has totally escaped my search engine (internally). Thanks Black XIV for bringing this aboard and enlightening me (and others).

My point SIR......is that this topic has been covered on numerous occassions. If you have further questions on the subject......GREAT!!!!! We would love to hear them, but you should post them in the original thread. What we do not need are new threads every week on the same subject. I think you will find that if you use the lovely feature, you will find what you are looking for in most cases. It saves Mods and other users alot of time. In this case, Scott pretty much laid this topic to rest back in October......... |
