The Pontiac Grand prix gtp had a 3.8L v6 with a roots style supercharger.

No factory kit from Chevy but there is an aftermarket one on the bowtie v6 forums:
http://www.bowtie v6*/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2747 (cam5 wouldnt let me upload the link so to view just remove the space between the bowtie and v6 and remove the * for the link to work...)

Looks goofy to me, I wouldn't want that little blower sticking out of my hood. Plus the company that makes it has a horrible reputation, banned from this site even.

Buy a COPO hood, as a few have done, takes care of cutting up the hood. AS for RX, they have been bought up by another company.

Really? When did this happen? So is Tracy still involved in the business in ANY way?

And yeah you could buy another hood, that's true. So how many of these roots kits do you think they have out there on the road?

If the roots kit is comparable in price to the ipf and produces good gains and is easily upgradable. I'm in I'd prefer a roots kit! However if Tracey is still involved no way! I think like anyone spending 5k+ I'd wanna make sure gain are great and that customer service is excellent both before and after the sale. If RX( or whoever) could make lower engine mounts as an option for people who don't wanna cut their hood then I think they'd sell like hot cakes! Wouldn't mind a copo hood though!

At least on RX's website, it still lists Tracy Lewis as the owner.

The roots FI setup is the least compilcated FI setup mechanically. No intercooler piping, wastegate's, bov (integrated into sc), oil lines etc. Therefore, as long as the blower is sized right and everything bolts up on top of the motor with the the pulleys lining up, I don't see how much can go wrong (as long as the tune is right).

Kinda dumb to spend 5k+ on a kit then have to get a hood that fits plus have it repainted.
