BMR front sway settings question
I am replacing my front endlinks with BMR's but I forgot how to tell which hole is hard and which is soft on the sway. I can't find my original instructions for my BMR sway bar and I want to set full hard. I think it's the hole to the front of the car but I want to make sure. Any help would be appreciated!

The closer the hole is to the sway bar bushing the stiffer the setting. The farther way the softer.

OK that's what I thought. Just needed a sanity check! The pic below shows where I have the attachment. It is the driver's side and it's the hole closest to the bushing.

That would be the stiffer setting.
For a given amount of bar center twist, which takes a given amount of torque, the closer pickup point deflects less. Less deflection for a given amount of bar twist = stiffer. There are several other, smaller causes of bar end deflection, but that's the most important one. And for this part, the shape of the "arms" does not matter, only the straight line length. Norm |
