chrome wheels- car wash soap and a soft sponge, then polish after. polished wheels- very soft sponge and car soap and then aluminum polish to get rid of water spots.
mothers aluminum polish is pretty good.

One product that works extremely well for removing brake dust from the tires is Wesleys Bleach White. It's supposed to be a white wall or white letter cleaner, but it's also awesome for getting brake dust off the entire tire..

Spray rinse, car wash soap with soft sponge used ONLY for tires and wheels, then rinse again. Towel dry, finish with compressed air.
I use a separate sponge altogether for the body of the car. Never mix them up. |

Car wash soap and sponge to clean. Dry with microfiber. Cleaner wax to remove any spots and use a sponge ball to get in those nooks and crannies.

50/50 Simple Green & Water in a spray bottle to clean them, Nevr-Dull or chrome polish, then wax them. Micro towels and applicators work well.
