C5 rear end revisited...with pics!

So I'm on duty all day on Easter Sunday and decided to try and figure out why I have this crazy disgust for the 14 rear end. Here's what I came up with...
(Please pardon my very limited ps skills)

WHAT EVERYONE THOUGHT IT WOULD LOOK LIKE:

WHAT WE ACTUALLY GOT:

SO...I WONDERED IF IT WAS THE NEW DIFFUSER THROWING MY EYES OFF...

THEN I WONDERED WHAT OTHER IDEAS WOULD LOOK LIKE...

HMMM, NOW DROP THE DIFFUSER...

WELL, THAT LOOKS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO CURRENT C5, HOW BOUT STINGRAY TAILS?...

HMMMMMM....HOW BOUT A HYBRID REAR?...

YUP, I KINDA LIKE THE HYBRID IDEA, BUT IT'S 2AM AND I'M BARELY FUNCTIONING MENTALLY...LOL
WHATCHA THINK? Aftermarket ideas maybe?

Personally the current 2014 taillights look better on the new model the old ones look bad on them

I was thinking the same thing, hahha!
I would get this car, and slap a new front facia on it when some aftermarket options become available.

Imo you don't want a total clone of the new vette style or it looks goofy. You want to get ride of the end black corner part like this.

When I opened this thread, I thought it was going to be about putting a C5 Vette pumpkin, drive shaft, and axles on a Camaro.

If you get rid of the black droopy parts around the taillight, dropped the diffuser below the license plate holder area, then raise the recessed area of the license plate area or make it like the '13, Then what would you have?

This must be one of those trick questions...lol. You'd basically have a 10-13 Camaro with stingray tails.

The new tail lights with the old back end look good. The new vette back end looks hideous on the camaro and the new vette.

Oops...apologies for the mislead. I don't have the dough to pull those mods off, so I just play with pictures!
