I'd do it......if it paid better than my current job. guy only climbs like 150'. the rest is an elevator ride. No worse than climbing up 40' of pallet racking with no harness or anything on, if you fall you're still most likely going to die.

The only thing i want to know is if he can be up 1700' and OSHA says it's ok to not be tied off, then why the hell do they think I gotta be tied off if I get over 4' off the ground.

sorry, too much for me. ive done a static line jump from 3500 ft (had to climb out of the plane and hang off the strut supporting the wing and then let go, ive also done an AFF from 11,000 ft. those were hard, but climbing up that tower is insane.

I have to correct you on the landing..........it wont hurt, you would be dead before your brain would register the pain.

The only question I have is this......how in the heck could he climb and haul up two huge balls of steel at the same time?
That is nutz.........I think if I had that job I would definitely be demanding a helicopter or something to haul my arse up there.
I would be like...."You want me to change what? Go change your own damn light bulb!"

I would love to do that job! I would hope there is some over-head work signs at the bottom around the tower for a half mile radius! Can you imagine getting hit by a bolt that one of theses guys dropped?

Thats a scary and dangerous job i ever knew. I throw up just watching. I wonder how much he earns in that job. That must be a high paying job. I pray for his safety everyday.
