Amazon pop up bug

For the past two days, each time I’ve logged into this site, I constantly get amazon pop up spam “Congrats you’re a winner” garbage. It’s not happened on any other site I’ve visited, and I do have a pop up blocker. Yet it still constant. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

It’s happened to me on several different occasions the last 6 months on different web sites. Last one was 15 min ago on this forum

I see ads on the top and bottom but haven't noticed that pop-up. I don't run any ad-blockers. Will pay attention to see if it happens.

Still happening to me today, both here and on Camaro5. I’m using my iPhone if that matters and this doesn’t happen on any other website. I contacted MrWyndham and he’s going to let Tran know about it.

May want to run some virus/malware scans on your computer. If you don't have one, try Malwarebytes.

Clean you cache.

Adblocker plugin for your browser helps.

Stop going to porn sites. lol.

Your phone is fine. What this is, is companies selling ad space out to any jo blow and of course hackers are buying this ad space and basically taking over websites. It goes more in-depth but that's a high level view of what's going on.

It took my 5 min just to log on as just when I was ready to log on, this spam showed up and could not get out of it. Happen 4 times before I finally got on. I hope it gets taken care of as it’s getting old.

Ive had no issue on android, OS or PC. Sounds like you fellows have some type of malware maybe.

^^Same here. I use my phone at work for this forum and have yet to see that pop up everyone is talking about. Using Android.

Got it several times yesterday on my work laptop, my Ipad, and my Iphone :(

So, I’ve been getting it too and I think I figured it out.

Turn your device on to airplane mode.

Clear your website and browsing data.

Restart your device and turn airplane mode off.

If that doesn’t work and as much of a pain as it may be, do the aforementioned steps but, before you turn off your device, turn off java in your Safari settings.

Edit: So, it appears that this pop up returns after you turn java back on. Until this gets resolved permanently, if you’re on an iPad or iPhone, just turn off java before you visit.
