Great job! I tried something like this on a smaller scale, and no matter how much effort I put into it, I could never get the original paint completely clear of contaminants. ALWAYS ended up with some small spot bubbling up. Finally stopped doing the painting myself. Great work on yours.

So far very good. You do awesome work. Like everyone else is saying, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the final unvail. I'm sure that if you're looking to make a little extra money on the side, you will have cars lined up.

Hey Casper, To do this by yourself has got to give you one hell of a good feeling, This is a great jog, with you color combinations and the lay out and the time spent doing this by yourself, all I can say is, ONE GREAT JOB, CONGRATULATIONS on a job well done.
When can you do mine? |

Lordy lordy wished I was forty..................it takes lots of stamina in this Summer heat and now I remember why its been 30 years since the last time I took on a project like this. I should spend more time developing friendships with someone who'll show up at a inpromptu four story barn building project, three hours early.....................lol
Anywho's..................Left home at 4:30 am this morning to open our business and then back home @ 3 pm, already pooped, and then off into the workshop task on the car, several minor, several not, that work began with a few time consuming snags that have been resolved and I have finally unwrapped the car and semi cleaned up the shop........... Tommorrow afternoon I'll begin the clear coat wet sanding procedures ( Knocking down the "Fat ladies Arse" and depending on time, power compounding, and then the application of some sort of non silcone based polish with the buffer................ Here's a few more teaser shots............... Thanks again for the kudo's and the support. Like to little old lady on the personal emergency alarm TV commercial's.......... " I Fallen down" and I'm positive that my body won't want to get back up at 4 am in the morning......... like the worn batteries in an Energizer Bunny, somehow I'll keep on, keeping on........ Stay tuned! Last edited by Caspers2SSRS; 08-15-2010 at 09:45 PM. |
