not sure of the gains with each but the 18mm might of fit with the cover.
ask the MACE vendors here and they can tell you which would fit witht he cover
oh and the TB has been sold to me.
i should be receiving it soon

I still have the 18mm and the 8mm Intake manifold Insulators. i doubt you will have an issue with the engine cover at all i didnt even with the vararam even with the boost clamps in the way i fit it . and performance gains are better with the taller insulator so the 18 would be best probably around 8-12 rwtq and 5-10rwhp optimized with a tune!

i dont know if/how you can transfer the tune thats something i would have to ask vince but i have the cable and the tune for the car so let me know i give you best price!
