What do you guys think?
I went to this dealer today and the Salesman guaranteed he can order the Camaro and have it within 6-8 weeks (bs?)..
Here's the catch though $5000.00 deposit, but price of vehicle is MSRP. He then tells me there's a $2500.00 Settlement Pollution Fee (Dealer) that I would have to pay... Anyone out there encounter a dealer charging a "Settlement Pollution Fee." |

I am in FL and have 3 on order (2-2SS/RS Black / 1 2SS/RS CGM) of which 2 of them were 500 down and 1 was 1000 down. All refundable deposits. Code 3000 for all of them. Selling at MSRP and no Settlement pollution fee whatever that is.
I also found a yellow 2SS today that I can get for MSRP and the car is on the lot and ready for pickup on Monday if my wife decides she wants yellow. If anyone wants any of my cars that I do not get for MSRP let me know. |

Hmmm, something about that just doesn't seem quite right. If he has an allocation available that it just about ready to go to production (TPW), then it is possible that they could get the car in 6-8 weeks. I don't know how that salesman would know that for sure though. On the settlement pollution fee, no idea. That sounds a little fishy to me. I would ask around at some other dealers and do some searching on the web.

Yeah, I've asked around at other dealers and they have not mentioned a pollution fee, but there telling me 4+ months on a custom order. I think that's just a masked dealer fee with pollution as it's name to make it seem legit.

"Settlement Polution Fee" = the fee you pay for the BS he is spewing into the air while you listen. Go to another dealership or another brand and ask what this is. If they look at you like your crazy then you know not to use this dealership.

Its no wonder some of the pre orders are backed up and still at 1100 when some if not many have multiple orders with no intention on buying them all. Then we will hear about someone walking in off the street and driving off in a 2SS with no wait. This is what fbodfather was refering to as being situations out of their control and was being caused by the consumers themselves. Shame shame shame. Multiple orders should all be cancelled IMO.
