Any Cat Back Exhaust with no drone???

Help...I have a Cat Back Flowmaster American Thunder Exhaust on my 2011 SS (AutO)...i LOVE THE SOUND, but I can not live with the drone and vibration emtting from the exhasut at 1750-2500 rpm...Please help...I know that Solo Jpipe may work to help with this problem, but the exhaust shops here in Bmore have said that the J Pipes will not work with the Auto and the cylinders deactivation system in the v8 that Chevy has installed ...IS this true??? Is there a system that you have expert knowledge that will not have drone and still have aagressive muscle car tone...I need a solution that will solve the drone problem...I am willing to buy a new system...

Aprreciate all your input..

Best

Will

J pipes will help kill the drone. They want help with the 4 cyl mode sounds though. Friend has a A6, flow outlaw catback and tuned trans. I heard no drone, which ticked me off as when I put it on my M6 I got drone.

I just had a full ARH exhaust installed and the wife took it on a 4 hour interstate trip and loved it. I specifically asked her about any drone and she said there was none. She was driving 75 and my car is turning about 2100 at that speed.

Talk to Branden at Maryland speed, he can explain the technical aspects. I explained to him that I wanted an exhaust with no drone and ended up with the Kooks Street Sleeper system. I am real happy with it. It is paired with high flow cats and stepped headers. It is a 2.5 inch system. I guess the slightly smaller pipes keep the exhaust velocities higher and that somehow kills the drone. As I said, Branden can explain the technical aspects. I was concerned I would sacrifice HP going with a smaller exhaust. But I guess that's is only a concern if you plan on big time mods. I thought Branden said the exhaust would not hinder HP until the 700 range, but don't remember the exact number. I plan on staying naturally aspirated. About the only other HP mod I want to do now is a cam. I am real pleased with the level of sound and tone. It stays pretty quiet until you really get on the gas pedal. So when I leave for work early in the morning, my neighbors stay happy. But when I open it up, it sounds awesome. None of my neighbors Have ever complained about it being too loud, but they have said "that thing really sounds good" when I open it up. It is also pretty quiet on the highway when I'm in sixth gear. I don't have to turn up the radio to overcome the sound or cover up any drone.

When you are at a constant RPM (when cruising) and the exhaust makes a constant humming noise. Which is annoying if you have straight pipes you usually experience it a lot, atleast i did when i went straight pipe my corsa now has no drone however
