I used the fabric guard version but it seems like many use the aerospace. I only use the aerospace on my interior trim and leather seats. ..oh and my kayaks.

Would this be the same formula? It's only $13:

Nope. That's just the cleaner.

I used the 303 and it works great. I found it at a boat shop for $19 for a 32oz bottle, up in WA state by Seattle.

Yes over-spray is an issue, windows and paint cloud up fast but it won't hurt it, just a pain to clean up, and wasting the precious spray is no fun.

However, if you have the notion, try pouring the bottle in a bucket, get yourself a cheap paint brush and apply that way. It works great. You overdo the 303 but so what? I did mine in Summer, in the morning, in the shade and let the top dry all-day as the sun moved over it. Been great now for almost 3yrs.

Good luck.

Reapplied 303 Fabric Guard today after 4 years. Finally hit 70F in Nashua, NH which the bottle states as the application temp.

Washed with Meguiar's Car Wash & rinsed well. Forgot about the 6 to 12 hour curing time, so couldn't put the top down today. 303 spread well, was going to use a cloth to spread it evenly but ended up using my hand. Made sure to saturate the seams well enough - that's where I especially want to keep water out.

Hopefully there will be nice weather and it will be warm enough tomorrow to put the top down.

Bummer! My 303 application doesn't repel water like last time - but maybe cause the top is 4 years old now. Gonna apply again ...

I use 303 on the interior of the car, but I use Raggtop on the top. I don't cover windows or anything, I just spray away. the ragtop seems to work good too.
but, 303 is an excellent product too

I just taped up my car to apply the 303 Aerospace Protectant and I read the label. It says do not apply to fabrics or suedes. I had been reading other threads when're people are using this on their tops. I guess they meant to say the Fabric Guard as one or two others here have mentioned.

What a waste of time unless I can find the fabric guard fast.

What else do you use this protectant for? I got a gallon of it.

Give it to a friend with a boat. Apply to clean vinyl in the shade, works great.

I use it on the leather and vinyl interior in all my vehicles. Works great on the boat and kayaks too. I've only ever used the fabric guard on the top but reading this post it sure seems like people use the regular 303 on it too.
