Just ordered a 2011, and a question

Hi All,

I've been watching and waiting for a year.
My final decision was sunroof vs. no Sunroof. I'm only 5'11", but more torso than leg. My neck was getting stiff with the low clearance of the Sunroof. No no Sunroof :(

The dealer is Quirk Chevy in Braintree MA. I spoke with the guy and told him I wanted a 2LT, CGM with Auto and RS. No problem.

How do we price since there is no pricing avail? - How about $500 over whatever the new invoice is? - Agreed.

We write up a temp bill of sale, then he informs me about the 2% advertising fee that all dealers pay? Ever heard of this?

I'm not worried about backing out - they seem to have allocation and I already have my order number. I'm just wondering how much they will *tack on* by the time pricing is in place.

I'll kill the order and buy someplace else if it gets out of control..
But 2% advertising fee?

thx

Tell him you'll do straight GM preferred pricing instead - now THERE's a good deal!

This is common, dealers consider it part of their invoice, as they have to pay it (but why should you?).

I was lucky enough to find a dealer without that fee and they ordered my 2011 2SS/RS for invoice.

This is kind of along those lines, have any of you had experience with dealers who would try to subsequently raise the price for an ordered vehicle? The wife is ordering a new 2011 while i'm deployed and we're told we can get it for 100$ over invoice. Good/Bad..your thoughts?

A quick check at Edmunds.com reveals that the 'Advertising Fee' Is a real thing that is regional. Dealer said I could go to Vermont to avoid it (not doing that).
Now I'll wait to see what the actual *final* price comes in at..

Have any of the 2011 orders got past the 1100 order status? Just wondering.
thanks!

I suggest trying another dealer. Advertising Fee is bogus. Take a ride to Lannan Chevrolet in Woburn. There will be no Advertising Fee.

Does preferred pricing come out the same as supplier pricing? What about Doc fees? I've been looking and I'm getting all kinds of different figures on the doc fees. What have you all seen? Thx
