Door window weatherstrip... is this a common problem/TSB?
I tried searching for a thread about this but didn't have any luck. I noticed the outside weatherstrip trim on both doors of our car have places where the lip is pulled down, I tried gently pulling up on it with a plastic trim tool but I guess its been like that long enough that its kinda formed that way now, it just goes right back the next time you cycle the window.
Just wondering if this is a common issue, and is there a trick to fix it or should I see if the dealer will warranty it? Heres the best picture I could get of the drivers door. Its got 2 places doing it, passenger door just has 1. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1396482442 Thanks

My drivers side did that after I had the windows tinted, passenger side is good though. I have been looking around trying to figure it out to.

I change both of mine ab out 4 yrs ago due to mold.
Easy to do, 1 forward screw they pop up and slide out under the mirror.

On 3rd gens I think they called them window sweeps, had to replace them on our 89 due to cracking and leaking water in the door.

Roll the window down. Then use your finger to fix it. Easy.

Do the above, then leave the car in the sun with the windows rolled up. Once the weather gets warm, the rubber should straighten out.
My windows were like this when new, but eventually straightened out. |

I tried prying it back up and leaving it for a couple days but next time i cycled the windows it was back. I think that would have worked if the original owner had noticed it and done that right away but now it's been deformed so long it might be permanent. I'll try it again on a hot day and see if that helps, if not I'll just replace them.

My 2013 had this issue on both doors when first purchased. I did use a thin plastic piece to pull them back up on a sunny day. It's been a couple weeks and so far they have straighten out. If it does happen again I will have dealer replace them.
