I spent untold hours going over the 2010 Camaro design and it was a masterpiece of a single designer's vision of not only a Camaro, but a muscle car... period. It looked and still looks like an untamed, wild jungle cat; powerful, muscular, ready to run.

This "refresh" looks like a domesticated house cat; related to it's powerful jungle cousin, but tamed.

If they were going to do this I really wish they'd paid more attention to balancing the details the way they did with the first car.

Here's a snap of what they did:
Attachment 490035

Here's what I would have liked to have seen:
Attachment 490036

Upper grille opening a bit taller, lower grille not quite as tall, fog light openings blended to look like they were part of the overall design so the height matches the lower grill, slightly less severe point at the outside edge of the area outside of the headlights.

I'm not crazy about the hood; the bulge is too wide and "soft" looking and the heat extractor looks completely out-of-place there. The extractor looks like a rough, wild, "we're running in the jungle and need to extract heat NOW" kind of extractor stuck onto a domestic house cat that clearly doesn't need it. To me that's the epitome of the ricer look; powerful, race performance objects stuck on a low-power domestic street car. It looks out-of-place.

Now that I've said it I think that's what bothers me the most about this refresh... the front just doesn't look powerful anymore. I REALLY hope this isn't the direction the 6th gen is going in.

I feel for the Camaro team though... they did such an outstanding job of the 5th gen that trying to follow that has to be a nearly impossible task. This refresh is okay... just not great.
It is pretty amazing how such little changes improve it so much. good eye Doc.

well one of the two being revealed better have at least 500 hp so they can try to cater to at least half of those that are in disarray with this horrible refresh!

My wife LOL!!

I walked through the living room and noticed a covered car sitting on the stage. Once I found out what was going on, I fired up my capture card and got the pics.

First time the card has been really useful since I wasted money on it. LMAO

That's an idea. Photoshop the back, print it on a plotter and tape it to the back of the car. Problem solved!
