Question about scoop - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Everyone keeps asking why my SS doesn't have the hood scoop (which isn't even in the hood it's in the bumper.) It got me wondering cuz I havn't seen an SS w/o the vent in the top of the bumper..
I have discovered since I bought the car that it appears to have been wrecked. The front bumper has alot of trash in the paint as well as the fender (which aslo has paint stripped off the bolts under the hood) The dealership never said anything about prior damage to the car.
What should I do? Is it normal for a SS to not have the vent? Do I need to confront the dealership about this? Call Detroit?

SS has the mail slot (vent).

Sounds like they put the V6 fascia on that SS

I like it w/o that stupid mail slot. But the fake vent does say SS to those that know. If you what the correct piece go back to the dealership and see what they will do.

Yup, thats definitely a V6 nose! I'd take it back if I were you.

I would tell the dealer to give some cash back if they did not disclose it. Can not hurt.

Now, put a ram air style hood and be done with it... Looks good.

It was a Demo from my understanding.. I test drove 6 that day and don't remember exacts about everything.. I'm bout to give the dealership an earfull.. First I have to get the car towed after 3 days of having it b/c the MT goes out. And I find out that the front bumper has been replaced by the v6 bumper.. They aren't going to like me after this.. And I know they are gonna hate me after I call detroit about it.

Another question.. are halos stock for SS? cuz I dont' think mine has halos (I can't go look cuz it got towed to the dealership last night)

Halos are not SS specific, it is a RS package. If your roof moldings are not painted you do not have an RS. - No halos

Halos are part of the RS package. Can be on the V8 or V6 or not.

Sold as new I believe.. I was in the "New" dealership.. the used for that dealership is in a seperate building

Had 15k miles on it when I got it
