Love the CGM w/black, of course, a little bias here. to add to your CGM/Black, go with blackouts on the brakelights and side markers.. it looks awesome!!!!

hrpii,
Thanks for the note. Yeah, I really love the CGM. I am going to have black hood spears painted on, I think with "6.2L" stencil on them. I also plan to black out the strip between the taillights, have fades painted on the gills, and blacking out the bow ties. Window tinting too. As soon as the weather breaks, I'll be doing these things.

I am thinking about blacking out the taillights, side markers, and backup lights. I haven't yet decided what the best way to do that is. Suggestions are welcome.

I'm debating on powder coating the wheel's like novocaine's car which you can see here:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/attach...1&d=1260742473

I already have the leds to replace my dome light and trunk light (in blue), my rear license plate lights (white), and my DRL's. I am waiting for the weather to warm up a bit to put them in.

I'll post more pics here as all this work is done.

Detailed my car for the first time with Adam's products

Washed, clayed, polished, and waxed my car yesterday. I used all Adam's products. Here are a couple of pictures:

A couple people have asked me what exactly I did to detail my car, so I thought I'd post it here if anyone else is interested.

Here are the steps I did and the products I used:

2 bucket wash using Adam's car wash shampoo and wash mits (my buckets have grit guards)

dried the car using an Adam's great white drying towel and detail spray

clayed the car (including windows) using Adam's clay bar and detail spray

applied Adam's VRT to all the rubber and vinyl trim as well as tires

used Adam's revive polish with Adam's applicator

wiped the paint down to remove polish residue with detail spray and an Adam's microfiber towel

applied Adam's Americana wax and wiped it off with a clean Adam's microfiber towel

washed the windows with Adam's glass cleaner (that stuff is GREAT! no streaks!)

used Adam's glass sealer on the windows (this isn't available yet on Adam's website, but will be soon. I had the good fortune of getting a free sample of it and it's fab!)

finally, I applied a light coat of Adam's brilliant spray glaze to the paint and wiped it off with an Adam's microfiber towel

Note: I washed and treated the rims exactly as I did the paint on the car because my wheels are painted aluminum.

It took some time, but I'm a total noobie at this.

By the way, I watched Adam's videos first on the Adamspolishes.com web site. I also watched the Junkman's videos on youtube. They explain everything.

If you buy some Adam's products, use the coupon code: JUNKMAN to get 10% off.

I hope this helps!

SS For The Win!

It's a common internet gamers phrase and it's a reference to Hollywood Squares.

Ok that makes sense. I'm not a gamer or Squares viewer and couldn't figure it out. Your car looks great. i have a CGM car too and can't wait until it's a little warmer here.

Yes, I did it all by hand yesterday. I bought a porter cable polisher, but didn't break it out yesterday. To be honest, the paint looks to be in pretty good shape on my Camaro (the car is pretty new) and I think the the dealer didn't mess up my paint when they washed and waxed it for delivery. Anyway, I may do a bit of work on it with the PC once the weather warms up a bit.

I will definitely need the PC when I try to get my daily driver (2002 Toyota Highlander) cleaned up this spring. I have never done anything with that car except run it through an automatic car wash in the past. It is full of swirl marks. I will put the PC through its paces when I have time to clean that one up.
