2010 SS Slave cylinder? Ugent!

So it seems as if the slave cylinder on my 2010 M6 SS is broken, and I've called to several suppliers and dealers and nobody has them in stock.

Anybody here have one, or know of anybody who might have one in stock?

Appreciate any help I can get!

/Erik

Yeah, and I have two important races this weekend that I want the car done for. I guess it's better it happened now than on the track, but it still sucks. I do need all help I can get!

The clutch slave cylinder is directly attached to the manual transmission casing. When the clutch pedal is pressed, pressure generated by the clutch master cylinder is applied to the clutch slave cylinder. The clutch is then disengaged.

The clutch master cylinder generates the hydraulic pressure necessary to operate the clutch assembly. The clutch assembly has two key functions: to transmit power produced by the engine to the gearbox and to disrupt that power flow when the clutch pedal is depressed.

My local dealer could get one within 2 days, when I checked. Also they are very pricey...over $300.
Wht did you do to yours? It's not something that fails easily.

I checked with all local dealers and nobody had in stock, and they all said that they were on back order from GM.

Not sure what happened yet, the car is going on the rack this afternoon. I just know that I lost all fluid from it when I was on my way home from the shop. Hard Road race usage I assume, I'll find out soon!

there are a few camaros in junkyards that have been totalled... I saw one just the other day... a dead bumblebee. didn't catch the name of the yard... but it may be an option to call around to a few junkyards

I bought a Corvette one instead and modified it slightly to work.

What brand does LPE sell? What is "upgraded" from the stock one?

LPE uses the ZR-1 dual disc clutch and slave cylander, and makes a lightened flywheel and spacer so it fits the 2010 camaro. They sell it as a kit for the 2010 camaro.

my Clutch problems are solved... been to 4 autocross events and launching hard.. over 50 launches at the autocross events and more on the street - no more clutch issues for me.

Slave cylinder issuses?

I noticed a noise the other day-load squeaking noise-scary! Seemed to be the throw-out bearing after furted inspection, sounded real dry-but went away when pedal was pressed, then the noise went away, well last night after making a simple turn and getiing ready to go into 3rd I noticed the pedal was on the floor! I pumped the pedal (after pulling over) and noticed bake fluid puring out of the front of the trans. But even though when I drove it home without using the clutch, the clutch was slipping, probably due to the break fluid getting on the clutch-I HOPE, I don't know what it looks like in there but I just hope it's covered by warranty, I'm just concerned because I had the ECM reprogrammed when I put the C.A.I., headers and 3" full exhaust, I had it professionally dyno tuned but I hope they dont remove the program an it won't void the warrrany, can anyone help me out or know of any slave cylinder problems, I didn't see any TSB's on Alldata and I'm not that hard on the clutch. Thank you for any info.
