In my most honest opinion, ZL1 is the best bang for your buck..not downing the Z/28 but really 85k+ out the door for it?...

I am sure the price reflects two things, the limited number of LS7 engines that are left (not wanting to run out before the 5th gen ends production) and for people that are serious about running on road courses. Think of it as a COPO Camaro designed for road racing. But this one is street legal.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a spec racing series designed just for the Z/28.

Thank you as Scott for posting this. I know now I can't afford one but for me that's fine because I already have my SS. I started to get bummed when I found out about the Z28 days after ordering my SS but now I know I can't afford it anyway. It's still a lot of car and I bet it's a blast to drive.
