In my most honest opinion, ZL1 is the best bang for your buck..not downing the Z/28 but really 85k+ out the door for it?...

It would have posted a faster time if it hadn't been raining on the track when they went.

I am sure the price reflects two things, the limited number of LS7 engines that are left (not wanting to run out before the 5th gen ends production) and for people that are serious about running on road courses. Think of it as a COPO Camaro designed for road racing. But this one is street legal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a spec racing series designed just for the Z/28.

Thank you as Scott for posting this. I know now I can't afford one but for me that's fine because I already have my SS. I started to get bummed when I found out about the Z28 days after ordering my SS but now I know I can't afford it anyway. It's still a lot of car and I bet it's a blast to drive.

I get that it's purpose built and outperforming car WAY more expensive car but when you can get a 1LE with every single option under the sun for $42K....or have a base 1LE for $37,500.....that is literally LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE of a Z28 and 98% of drivers cannot even push the 1LE to it's legitimate limits......the Z28 niche market is for people who just want their d*ck to feel bigger...OR a dedicated SERIOUS weekend racer!
I'll keep my 1LE until the 6th Gen 1LE comes out thank you very MUCH
LOL..while I agree with many of your point....but who doesn't want their d*ck to feel bigger??? That is if you have one as I know many of our Camaro5 friends are ladies and to you please excuse us boys for having a little fun.

Lol. I'm sure some people see that as a great value. It's just not worth it to me. I'm an enthusiast not a cult member
