I'd love to do this mod! What size hoses do I need off of Amazon?

This is going to sound like I'm being a smart ass but I'm not....I apologize in advance if it sounds like it.

Everything you need is in the first post. Take a few min to read through it all.

I apologize...I did read through every post on this thread so far.

All I saw was the hose size and I didn't notice the part numbers that you included. Thanks for the correction. I just ordered them and I hope to get those ugly hoses off my intake this weekend.

Cool...

You shouldn't have any issues since almost everything has be touched on in the thread but if you run into any questions/issues just post them.

This was the first thing I did after my ProCharger installation. The engine cover could not be used as it was too tight, and besides my personal opinion is the engine looks nicer than the piece of plastic covering it up.

This is the Tech AFX mentioned earlier in the thread, everybody sells them.
Had them installed now for about 1wk. no issues at all, and noticed engine and oil temps are lower on my centre guages.
I'd say a good buy, and clean if you want something extra than just replacing the rubber hoses.

Yep....same concept.

Obviously more money though because you're getting hard lines as opposed to all rubber.

If you're wanting more looks and willing to spend the money the Tech AFX is the way to go. For me I use an engine cover so the Tech AFX would be hidden.

Now...I will say that I had at least two guys that had Tech AFX say they wish they would've gone the rubber hose route because if you have to do anything with the spark plugs you have to remove the Tech AFX. I don't know how true that is or if you would even need to mess with your plugs.....just saying that's what I've been told.

I'm not sure if would have to remove the TechAFX heater hoses to get to spark plugs, (I'll check later) but on my engine I'd have to remove SC air filter and coil covers to get to the spark plugs anyway

Eric, do you have the NAPA/Dayco part numbers? Are the same as the Gates numbers?

I'd rather spend $40 for the rubber hose vs. $189 for that kit. A bit overpriced IMO.

Thumbs up

True, a lot cheaper for the rubber ones but my opinion the metal ones looks so much nicer, cleaner.
