Kooks Lt Headers and "Green" High Flow Cats
Anyone running the full Kooks setup with LT headers and green cats? Kooks claims their setup will pass emissions testing and I was just curious if anyone can vouch for that.
Thanks! BiggFooT

I'm running them but don't have to test emissions anytime soon.

If you already have headers and HFC's why do you want to change them?

I can't believe Kooks would say they would pass emissions testing.... It depends totally on each States rules and Technically the Feds forbid any emission control tampering at all. For instance,It would never pass the Visual test in several states because the Cats are moved from their original location regardless if they sniff clean or not. Other states forbid modifying or moving perfectly working Cats. Just make sure it works where you live and your good. I know it sounds crazy but that's how it's always been.

No LT headers are emissions legal because they remove or replace the factory cats. That is why they are all sold for off road use. The big thing about green cats is they are much cleaner than normal high flows, and because they do not throw check engine lights, they do not require a tune.

I am willing to change out the entire exhaust system if it will pass the Texas emissions test.

Actally the Stainless Works system sounds awesome, however when I had the cats gutted I picked up an annoying backdraft (wughhhhh) sound when I shift gears at about 4000 rpm or so. If I hammer down on it and shift near redline it wont do that though.
