Lets leave this thread where it is. I think it is better to have this discussion stand on it's own.

Whats your take on it? If you were <13 what would you want to do that would be fairly in-expensive?

I'm really not a good person to ask.... I'd love to see more child focused stuff... I have two small kids that love cars but aren't old quite old enough to spend two days back to back at the track....

And I'm so close to the actual fest that at this point trying to add more stuff is cutting against the grain for me...

So, my thoughts are to let you guys throw any and all ideas out there. And in the meantime, we'll keep an eye on them, see what makes sense and will work well for you all.

cool?

What a wussy manager answer telling us little people to do the work while the Managers sit back and watch And you thought you were done with the Rebel Force
  • For the younger kids we can absolutely do a coloring contest. Pedders will handle the templates and crayons.
  • Camaro Wood Derby, no worries. Did you see what GTAHVIT fit in his Camaro last year?
  • Liability with blowups is probably a deal breaker as would be other setups that require equipment.

Anything else I can do for you today

Along the lines of the pinewood derby, since I don't have any young'uns, I would be happy to help a couple of others out by building a few cars for to share...

Some families with more kids may not be able to accomodate all and so... I'll build a few to give to kids for racing...

Camarowood derby... haha... love it... I'm not sure the name of the company but I know there is one out there that sells pre cut and weighed cars. All you have to do is add the wheels that come in the kit and paint it. If the kit cost say 10$ and we can rattle can paint say 5 cars to one can and the person doing setting this up charges 20-25 per car (build and race) Then is makes a profit, provides a race event for the ankle bitters and they get to keep the car THEY painted and built. Hell depending on how we figured out how to paint and signify that it was a trues C5F3 camarowood derby car I would even buy one just to put on the shelf as a trophy. haha (just a big kid at heart)

EDIT: found the website http://www.pinewoodpro.com/pinewood-...ar-designs.htm

The track is a very well known track and has a lot of open space, so even with the vendors that will be coming, we should have plenty of room to do something for the kids on the facility with no problem.

The Pinewood cars are a great idea, as well as would be a dunk tank, face painting, maybe even some kind of prize giveaway for like a dart board with balloons.

The bouncy playrooms and the RC cars would be tedious as well as time consuming. I really like the idea of a giant gameathon, as that would be pretty sweet. I know I love gaming!

I live nearby, and already plan on volunteering, so I'm more than happy to help out if I can. I'll also be one of the late night gamers who will be happy to stay up and party rock

Actually I was the first one to mention Pinewood derby......

I would be willing to bet that somebody on this site has a kid in the cub scouts in the area.... They could provide the "track" and turn it into a fund raiser for themselves as well! Something like a dollar per race etc etc...
