So what is the big difference between the two pads? I am going to try to do some polishing tonight with the info from you guys. Thanks for all the help. I will let you know how it turns out.

Interesting, does the one pad not get too hot for you?

That was my problem, so now I tend to use 2 per car which to me is the sweet spot.

CamaroDeams07, I noticed that they only sell a cutting and polishing pad...does this eliminate the need to switch between multiple CCS pads depending on the application?

Yeah you can do a two stage polish for 95% of jobs.

No. Get a nylon pad brush and hold it against the pad while it's spinning after every body panel or so. This cleans it and fluffs it back up.
