Got the lower manifold today. Had to order a new seal for it. as it didn't come with one. Hoping to have it back together and have it on the dyno Friday.
Here's pics of the new one and old. |

From the Dyno it was a waste of time. Going to the track tonight so I will know if it helped. I changed the converter at the same time so it may have effected the numbers.
I installed the ported manifold and RDS spacer and lost 2psi of boost. Before the changes I made 600rwhp after made 543. Went from a 3.8 pulley to a 3.6 and got the boost back and went to 568. So from the Dyno it was a waste and made me pulley down just to get back close to the old hp. But like I said maybe the converter. We locked the converter and made 633. Never made a locked pull with the old converter. The track don't lie so I will know tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It does seem off for you to lose that much I really hadn't seen much of any gains but usually not a loss.. |

Nitroman, the suspense is killing me! Fill us in on your experience last night. I have to give you an "A" for effort. You give everything a try in your quest to go faster.

We'll turns out it didn't lose boost. Tensioner seemed to have crapped out. So my boost is where it should be with the 2.6 pulley. 11.5/12psi. IAT's dropped about 5 degrees with the spacer.
Had traction problems at the track but picked up 2mph. I think once I hook it will be about 2tenths faster. That being said. I think I could have just done the pulley swap and had the same out come. Cost me a 1000.00 for not really any gain. 40.00 pulley did all the work. Conclusion: If I had it to do over again. I would put the money somewhere else. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Yeah, $1000 is a lot for not much gain. I have pretty much $5.00 is my ported lower manifold and gained about 8hp with 1/2 psi drop at peak boost, but mine is more heavily ported than yours. I am about to pulley down to a 3.4 and considered either making my own spacer or buying one so that I would at least break even on IATs hopefully with summer coming up. I don't expect really any HP from the spacer, I was just hoping to keep the IATs in check, but I don't know if its going to be worth it if I buy the spacer instead of making it.
