D2 Forged vs Vossen

Looked at both D2 Forged CV2 Deep Concave and Vossen CV3. Plan to go with one of the two in 22s. Anyone know of any technical glitches with either one regarding fit? Plan on 1" spring drop. 2010 SS

I know D2 are very spendy. I haven't got mine yet but I decided to go with the Vossen b/c they were within reason. I can afford either, but didn't feel like shelling out just for D2 wheels when I can get a good set of wheels and tires for less than half of what the D2's were going for.

You can say that again! Pricey is an understatement.

There is a car just like my SS with the vossens. Compare the pics and you will see what you are paying for.

Yes the D2's are way expensive but this is my second set and I can tell you I live in NYC (lots of potholes) I drive with confidence. I have taken my car up 145ish mph and still confident.

Shootir,

That stance is incredible! Very nice. I think I am adding coil overs to my list.

Thanks. I just put an Air Lift kit on the car. Haven't driven it yet just finished it all up today. Hope I like it. I guess I will throw the coil overs back on if not.

well I can speak for VOSSEN. they are pretty decent for a cheaper wheel. they balanced good no major blems...But OP your comparing apples to oranges...D2 wheels are high end. and VOSEENS are an entry level wheel that look badass on our cars..... all the cars on this thread so far are sick...You canot go wrong with a nice, clean wheel on a clean car.....OP it all depends on your wallet.

d2 wheels are made to last, they are super strong and take a beaten. If it wasnt for my particular desire for a certain style id have a set of d2's on my car instead i have adv1's. But i know for a fact the process d2 wheels go through are top notch. light weight, strong, no compromises. you wont find many camaro's running them so there is a exclusive factor there too. your not going to go to the local car show and see more than 1 or 2 cars on d2 wheels but you might pull up to a lambo and ferrari and have the same wheels, i think its pretty cool (i have the same wheels that are on a enzo) i was a skeptic to high end wheels till i hit a pretty bad pot hole where i smashed both wheels and they were absolutely perfect. a cheaper wheel would of bent right in 2. but D2 is the way to go!!
