Ugly ZL1 engine cover....

Does anyone else think the ZL1's red engine cover is ugly? Painting it the car's color or dipping it to simulate carbon fiber is like polishing a turd. I need an engine dress up for the bare supercharger and hoses/wires. And, will removing the cover help the engine shed heat?

mine has been off for nearly all of my car's life. I too thought it was ugly especially on a black car. Shedding heat by removing a piece of plastic is doubtful but it couldn't hurt.

there is a small bit of heat retained by the cover, but nothing substantial like the covers on the ss or a corvette.

I had one on my garage shelf but I shipped it to another forum member. It's just another pound of dead weight if you ask me.

Mine stays off during the driving months. I painted it flat black with silver letters; but it's still an engine cover.
