Good for the athletes. However......Im sure I wont hear the end off all the hockey talk for weeks.

Id like to see a decrease in the unemployment rate, erase the fed defecit and the overall life of the average Canadian improved. Then I'll be impressed.

The world record for gold medals during the Winter Olympics used to be 13. We tied that record yesterday. The most gold medals won by a host nation used to be 10. We smashed that out of the ballpark today with 14. So we set two new world records during these games. The most gold won by any country, and the most gold won by a host country.

Going by medal count, the USA with 310 million people won 37 medals.
Germany with 82 million people won 30 medals.
Canada with 33 million people won 26 medals.

Ohhhhh, yeahhhhh, we own the podium all right!
