Weather was good, so I decided to take the '10 out for a "Sunday drive" yesterday. Son & I stopped for some ice cream & started home about 9 PM when a FOrd truck comes flying up behind me. I pull away, he gets right back on my bumper. After a couple of times, I decided to leave him and when doing so, I see a deer running full blast toward the road, so I pulled it into 4th gear & stomped it. the idiot in the ford truck decided to try & keep up, not knowing the deer was heading our way. I passed without any trouble, the guy in the ford wasn't so lucky. I would hate to guess how fast he was going when he hit the deer.

Haha! No remorse for the Ford.

And way to go by accelerating to avoid the deer. There are a lot of deer strikes around here and every time somebody hits one the story always starts the same: "I seen a deer in the ditch so I hit the brakes, but the thing jumped out in front of me."

Hitting the brakes and slowing down just gives them a chance to run in front of you. The only time I ever hit the brakes is if they are already on the road in my lane.

Update:

It was a kid at my son's high school & I'm having him obtain a photo of the front-end of the truck that hit the deer, he said there was damage, but not as bad as he expected with a deer hit at around 90 mph.

Poor deer, it was missing body parts and was hard to tell what it was after the impact.

hahahahah I should tell hubby thats all his F150 is good for.. since he cant seem to even shoot one during hunting season!!
