You can't expect a Chevy to be able to bang gears... this is just a production car.

I swapped trans fluid, replaced the shifter and separated the clutch fluid... my car shifts great. I do still mess up from time to time but it's not the car's fault... it's mine.

If its grinding at low RPM, normal driving/shifting... That's a problem.
100% agreed. As long as I shift good and don't mess up my timing no grind at all. I do tend to get a little grind when the car/tranny is cold though.

J, you running Mobil 1 ATF? It really helps the cold clunk/grind/tightness.

I'm running Pfadt springs. I love them.

I ordered my bezels painted, only because I did not have time to do it myself.

I sprayed my bezels with plasti-dip. They turned out nice except for the first one has a couple spots that have flaked off. Should have practiced on something else.

D, you can take my mod off the list. I have the part, but I also ordered the spacer from the land down under. The Aussie version has more torque down low so I decided to go with that one. I will just be there to help out.

For the best finish you will need to scuff them, prime them and go with a good automotive grade base and clear (in a spray can is fine for something that small). It is doable with patience, a clean environment, and proper temp/humidity.

OR like hrpiii said you can buy them pre-painted and you will still have the stock ones if you want to go back. Have you met Lupe yet - he can paint pretty much anything you throw at him! http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ghlight=bezels

Another option is RPI, but Lupe is probably a little cheaper: http://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.aspx?itemid=1866

Yep! Changed mine in the fall along with the rear diff fluid. It's 100x better with the Mobil1.

I can't remember - do you have an SS or a V6? If you have the V6, make sure he is bringing the newly released V6 springs. The SS springs sometimes have problems working nicely with the V6 struts.

Welders helmets...bring them if you got them

I'm trying to make sure we will have most anything we would need for mod day. We have one welders helmet; however, if J is going to be helping others, it would probably be good if anyone involved also had a welders helmet. If anyone has one, you might want to bring it. I still need to check if we have enough and the right kinds of welding wire.

Lupe is still painting everything IOM. (2010 has had lupe go IOM insane!!! They let him out of the padded room to play scrabble now)

I have had Lupe paint many items for me, always perfect. My new CGM DRL bezels are sweet he did for me. RPI did my front splitter, and it matches the CGM perfect.
