Help make a deal - 12 2SS 45th coupe

First of all...this has been a great site for my researching a new Camaro purchase. Looked at a new 2012 2SS Coupe with the 45th package today in NJ. MSRP is around $39K. Dealer offered me $39,100 out the door after some negotiation.

This sounds very high to me based on some of the other posts on here regarding similar cars for $34-36K OTD. The dealer didn't budge on this price so i walked (disappointed of course).

I'm guessing I should wait until closer to the end of the month and go back with another offer. Anybody have other suggestions? Is $35K a realistic offer for a 45th? thanks in advance!

So 39.1k is with tax, title and tags?

If so I'd say it's more than a fair deal.

Yes, i believe $35.9K before TTL....$39.1K out the door. Hmm...I guess i'll need to rethink this...maybe its a better deal than i thought?

Yep, unfortunately there are some fees associated with buying a new vehicle that you just can't get around.

I was just looking into a 2012 Camaro 2SS/RS Couple 45th edition for $34,919 (sunroof, manual). Does not include taxes/tag/title. Taxes are cheap for me as when I trade in my vehicles from a different state all I pay is the difference from what NC charges (NC plates) and I transfer my plates.

Yeah, tax title and license are unavoidable fees. I plan to remedy them by trading in on a camaro when I get ready to buy one.

I guess it is too bad that you do not live in an Urban Enterprise Zone. Otherwise, you could save another $1400 in taxes.

That's what I paid for my 45th Convertible a few months ago and LOVE the car. If you don't want it bad enough then you did the right thing for yourself.

That sounds like good deal. If you can get the right financing you should go for it. You ddin't say if it was 5 or 6 year loan. that could lower your payment too.

I paid 39K out the door, so that sounds fair.
