I ran 50wt in both cammed '04 &'06 GTO's.....no issues.
Not saying its proper....but I think you would be ok with your application.

Go back to the Zrod 10w30. That's real good stuff. Perfect for a modded LS motor.
You added mods.... but are still on the stock tight LS clearances. For that circumstance.... 5 or 10w30 with plenty of zinc/phos. If you build the motor to race specs with opened up clearances... then up the visc weight. |
