I may have a freak on my hands...
Hey guys, I just got my 2010 SS ls3 back from my local tuner. It put down 441 RWHP and 446 FtLbs on a dyno dynamics (380-390 RWHP stock). All I have done to the car is the 1-7/8" ARH catless headers (stock h-pipe and axle back), ADM's street intake, and a tune. My tuner flat out told me he was baffled that my car made as much as it did. He hasnt seen those numbers out of cars with full exhaust systems on top of the mods I have done. He even double checked all of his parameters and what not to make sure it wasnt an error. To put icing on the cake, he showed me a graph of a maggied L99 with full exhaust that made 450 RWHP but actually made less power than mine all through the mid-range. The car feels really strong even when I drove it back to back to my 02 Z06. I really wish I had run the car on their dyno when it was stock but since I didnt, what do you guys think? How do my numbers stack up?

Take it to another person for a second opinion. Even the stock looksw high.
I am no expert, but I have seen many dynos since day 1, and no one is hitting those numbers with the mods you have. You might want a different opinion.

Thats high!! folks pay good money to make those numbers. I would take it to another dyno just to see if it all adds up

Don't always believe the numbers... its smoke and mirrors. I am 410/415 whp/wtq with cai, LTs, full exhaust and tune. 440... I dont believe it.

Can you point me in the direction of someone who has the same mods as me so we can compare numbers? |

Ok guys, I realize numbers are all relative to the dyno you are tuned on and I understand that had i been tuned on a mustang it probably would have been lower. I am not trying to cause a pissing match about who has the highest numbers, I am looking for an explanation of why my car is stronger than the other cars my local tuner has seen. He even said it felt strong when he drove it on the street. Have there been freaks from the production run? Or is a 3" exhaust all the way back possibly allowing for to little back pressure? Who has experience with my mods?

Your better off just dynoing somewhere else to compare. The torque graph is what catches my eye.Looks like his dyno is definitely off in calibration and brought the #'s up across the curve. Dyno's are tools and tools break.

Do you mind elaborating on the torque curve?

One way to know for sure: take it to the track. I've raced in Wichita before - nice track. Even if you can't hook it well, just hooking it adequately will let you compare your trap speeds, which will give you a good idea of rear wheel horsepower. Just get a good estimate of Density Altitude and a good idea of weight, and there you go.
Once you get a number, compare your traps to those on the Top 30 list. Padre |

My L99 made 510rwhp with a maggie/3.4 pulley 8 lbs boost /CAI/headers/3"exhaust/tune. This is pretty standard for an L99.
