You got it right about the Brit's. I have yet to see a no-bias review of American cars.
Besides that, I can only understand about half of what they speak.

That's the automatic the manual 6 Speed is the one that has 426 HP

I have a few things to say:
  1. I do believe this man to be a good driver
  2. With his skill level, He could have had a better lap time if he disabled the Stabiltrack in the car (2011 manual SS's also have "competition mode") This would allow him to overcome the understeer the car was designed with.
  3. Camaros do handle well. They are based on the Pontiac G8 witch is based on a popular Holden product in Australia. They have near 50/50 weight distribution (unless you stick a heavy supercharger in the nose) and the stock spring rates are not bad for stock. They are just a little big boned (heavy)
  4. Cars do not melt in the rain! The P Zeros on the Camaro are designed for wet and dry performance. If you have seen the Top Gear bit, Richard H. is having no problem power sliding that "big" car around a very wet track! (he loved the car)
(L99 auto=400 hp, LS3 manual=426 hp)

I, for one, am tired of hearing Europeans talk about how American cars can't corner, don't handle well, etc... You would think they are all driving Porsches or Ferraris around. The truth is, most of them are driving little cracker boxes with small engines.
What you are seeing and hearing is pure envy at the fact that we can build great cars like the Camaro, Challenger or Mustang in the States, and it is affordable to the masses. Unlike most European performance cars.

I think they may be a little biased against US cars, but whatever, they have different driving conditions and cultures in Europe that may make a car such as the Camaro not be as fun. Light and nimble seem to be regarded higher than huge and haulin'. True, they also like the heavy German tanks, but they tend to look at those as more lux cruisers, not trying to say its a track car (like we are about our yank-tank Camaro).

So, in short, I think we're both right because perception is the basis for each of our decisions.

And...did you really expect mega-douche to drive the Camaro all out if he's biased against them?

Last - I would like to see the Camaro be compared to other things than Challenger and Mustang as I'm very tired of seeing those compros as well. What about S5, Cayman S, 370z, your mom, etc??
