I know I'll get a few "I told ya so's," but... at least I'm honest....

Light came back on during that COLD COLD weekend....on Sunday before my drive to Houston for the dyno. Oh well...no biggie for me anyway.

Thanks Tag for keeping us in the loop with the light/codes. Is it a running
too rich/lean code?

Someone explain to me because I'm thinking of LT's up to stock cats, already have a muffler delete. I rather it not affect my fuel economy, although I'm not too concerned, more concerned about the CEL.
If i may, The ECM on this car dos things that don't make any Common Sense,
As you know if you put on LT headers on a car that has a carburetor it gos lean, But on this car it go's rich, Why it dos this is something for the engineers to tell us.

But for you if you run the LT's up to stock cats you may not have any problems as its the moving of the 02 censers that give you the CEL.

Not too sure why it's tripping. My AFR is fine. On the last two dyno's it was 12.4 and then 12.1. So, we are fine running around.

Hrm...I don't know. I'll need to find someone with EFI Live, HP Tuners, etc and figure it out. Maybe on our next run up to Houston we'll figure it out. Runs fine...just gettin' that darn light again.

When my light came on, I called On-Star to get an on demand diagnostic check. I just wanted to make sure it was the cats and not something else. On-Star confirmed that the codes were emissions related.

depends on what code,, usually long tubes will set:

DTC P1133: HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 1 Sensor 1

DTC P1153: HO2S Insufficient Switching Bank 2 Sensor 1

these codes are because the front o2 sensors are positioned farther down the line and have different exhaust flow past them compared to when they are up closer to the engine in the factory pipes

also codes for the cat efficiency can come on because the long tube bullet cats are not as efficient as the factory 4 cat system,, those codes are p0420 and p0430

Guessing that the tuner can tune this out? Or is it hit and miss?

With an AFR I assume he had been tuned.
