I sure hated I missed the opportunity to participate in this "defining moment", however, I do thank you and the many others that share it with us. Thanks to you, Scott, especially, for your tremendous efforts to bring "perma grin" to so many.

What a great post! Started to make me think of my own personal "defining moments" in my relationship with Camaros. Sounds like the title of a new thread!

So............what else can you tell us about this? I've never heard of a Camaro project post-4th gen, pre-5th gen that was scrapped? What kind of ideas, inflluences were you guys discussing?

I agree F-bodfather and the team has been unbelivable. Being almost 45 and owning Camaros since I was 15, and with my father and then I building them at GM Norwood, I have never seen any Camaro draw this kind of attention from the public, but even myself. The saddest days in my Camaro life was when Norwood closed and when the Camaro was killed. But Scott always made sure we never lost hope. I almost lost it when I sold my mint 85 IROC to get a Vette. Scott emailed me and told me he can't belive after waiting this long I was gonna go buy a Vette without even driving a 5th Gen. Well I did and I apologized to Scott. I then immediately purchased one. I have never seen or driven a car that draws so much attention from all ages. People gawking, waving, stopping their cars to check out the Camaro in a lot. I'm no different, I was unable to attend this years event due to work. I live right off I75 and just wanted to see the Detroit Team as they came through northern Cincy. Just like a kid, I begged on Twitter for them to stop off my exit.......but of course I knew that they had to keep rollin. I kept up with Camaro5fest on the web all weekend. On Sunday, @4:30 I was driving my 1SS over I75 and there heading north was the Camaro team heading home. I was estatic. You'd think I met Louis Chevrolet. I had to laugh, here I am driving the same car, but I was grinning ear to ear after seeing those Synergy Greens and Yellow 5th gens......Thanks Scott and the whole team for rekindling that feeling and to Camaro5 for my daily injection of all things 5th gen. May God Bless all of you for all your hard work and efforts. They have. Not gone unoticed.

Fbodfather, what a great post, I really enjoyed reading it except for the fact that it made me regret not being able to be at the camaro5fest even more then i already did. If it was not for previous plans i would have been there.
The camaro is an AWESOME car and I absolutely love mine. Thanks so much to you, the entire design team as well as the guys and gals that work on the assembly line building this great car. My hats off to everyone involved.
