Someone who knows about TVs!!!
I am on the market of buying a 60" television. I defintely want a samsung that's all I've ever bought and very satisfied. There are three different led models available for close to the same price and I'm having a hard time determining the difference between the three. The employee at best buy says they are all three identical with the exception of smart features but I find that hard to believe. I saw the fx model at costco and the quality looked horrible but the ex model at best buy looked amazing.
The model numbers are as followed un60fh6200fxza- $1099 un60fh6003fxza. $999 Un60eh6003fxza. $899 Not sure which one to buy Thank you in advance for the help

Research the Samsung PN60F5300, it's a plasma not led but for the money and size you won't find a better picture. Best buy and Sam's club sell them for just under $800. Look up the models you have in mind on the avs forum, don't judge a TV from what you see on a floor model.

Richard, do you watch a lot of sports? or like action movies? if so, do yourself a BIG favor and get a model that has a 240 hz refresh rate.....having a higher refresh rate makes the picture more fluid. but YES, I know....the same model size with the higher refresh rate will cost you a lot more....

I've had Samsung and LG of ALL my life, I just purchased a 65" Vizio for $1100. Can't complain. Excellent quality. I looked on the Avs forums got the best tuned setting. Quality is amazing almost better than my last 3d LG I just replaced. I do miss my 3d at times but hey it's not needed that much

Go Plasma if you can, going to give you the best picture quality. If not, like mentioned, go with at least 240 hz refresh. Vizio does make some damn good tv's.
Last month, I picked up a Samsung Plasma 60", best TV picture I have ever seen, and the quality of blu-rays is just gorgeous. |

Thanks everyone for the input I guess I've just heard bad things in the past about plasmas going out or having issues but I will look into the prices of plasmas

I don't seee any difference in those tv's other than the smart tv features just like the Best Buy associate told you. The picture will basically be the same for all three. You're just missing out on some techy features like netflix with the cheaper models.
The 6200 has an ethernet port and a whole bunch of smart tv features that younger buyers would want. if you're not into pandora, netflix, facebook, skype etc. you don't need this tv. The FH6003 has the same picture, but WITHOUT all the techy stuff like pandora, netflix, facebook, skype etc. SAME TV as the 6200 MINUS THE TECHY FEATURES. The EH6003 is the same as the FH6003, it mainly is an energy star rated tv of the two. I believe it is last years model as well, which is why it's soo cheap. But the guy at best buy wont tell you that. All that crap aside, you're tv selection depends solely on what you're going to do with it. Plasma tv's are nice, cheap, and have great picture. But if you're putting this tv in a room full of windows, I would not reccomend a Plasma at all. As for me, I prefer a 4k right now, but that is probably out of your price range. That being said, none of the 3 tv's you have listed have a 240 refresh rate. If you watch a lot of sports, watch fast paced movies, or play a lot of video games you will regret buying any of those 3 tv's cause they have a refresh rate of 120. The good thing they have going is that they are all 1080P! They are cheap and have a great price, but you get what you pay for. I would honestly save up for a little longer, and purchase the TV at the end of the isle that I know you were looking at before you came on to Camaro5 today and asked this question. |

I understand you getting a Samsung...I've always prefered Sony.
I will say that the Sony 4k 55" Bravia I got is amazing, and I'm not sure I'd buy a TV without getting a 4k one. Maybe wait till the price comes down a bit...

Honestly at this point I do not see the point of 4K. Television broadcasts are not even at 1080p because that would take to much bandwidth and at the general viewing distance the human eye will see very little difference between the 4K capable TV to the 1080p LED TV.

So I went and looked at the 60inch samsung plasma and was just not impressed with the darker picture at all, I looked in 3 different stores to make sure it wasn't a single model and all three looked bad to me, I think I'm going to try the 899 tv I saw it in person and don't notice the refresh issue so I am going to try the 899 one and see how I like it during a hockey game Saturday night. I'm not interested in spending anymore money than planned on a tv if anything I will just go smaller to get better quality if I don't like this one. Thanks everyone for the help!

When properly calibrated the plasma will have a superior picture versus any led in the price range.

Like they have all pretty much said. Plasma will give the best picture. We have a 60 LG, and just bought a 50 Panasonic (plasma) Smart TV for our front room. Definitely consider a smart TV if you do any streaming. Ours is wireless and did have a little buffering, but ran a cable to it and been loving it ever since.

I listened to c5 and a few others and bought the samsung plasma. I went back and compared the two again and the best buy employee made me realize I was thinking the led was better only because it's brighter, when comparing true picture quality I could see that the plasma was better. Thank you c5 I will see how everything looks Saturday when it get everything set up!
