All the time. One of these days when I'm driving a truck I will let them run into me. I won't be at fault and they will learn a lesson.

Got rear-ended in the Camaro when I only had 800 miles on her.... Seriously thought about having LED lights that say Back Off wired into the rear window....

Anytime someone tail-gates me no matter where it is, I ALWAYS take the foot off the gas pedal and just let me car slow down, even if I slow down to 1 mph.

This usually makes the problem go away easily.

If you're talking about these, their first thought is OH S***, COP then they hit the brakes and their pulse races.

You could try something like this:

Or, if all else fails, you could go purchase a couple realistic looking airsoft machine guns and mount them in your trunk in such a way that you could pop the trunk and they would fold out. Of course, this would also require some kind of actuator built in so that you could also press a button to then close the trunk as well, but you get my point

Just let those tailgaters go by if possible.....the faster they get down the road the sooner they get to meet me!!!!!!

Can't tell you how many times I hear people wave (give thumbs up), honk, or pull up to tell me that the car I have pulled over was driving like an a-- somewhere down the road.

Problem is, half the time the tailgater isn't actually speeding. They just get in behind someone and ride their ass like a $2 wh_re.

this. happens less in my gen5 than it did in my '89 RX-7 Turbo (i think because that car was more unique). Anytime I was on the highway, someone would immediately tailgate me thinking I was probably going to be a fast car for them to tail and speed. I would be going the speed limit and would slow down a bit more after they start tailing me... Then Mr. Angry-Dude-In-A-Mini-Van would change into the other lane and pass me while giving me this pissed off look.

MMMMM.....agree there are those people.....but a good part of them want to get somewhere in a hurry....

hell I've even had a few that tailgate me in the police car!!!!! those were fun stops......I asked the last guy who was even peeking around me (I was pacing traffic around 5 over the limit) if I had a $20 taped to my back bumper.......He was like "What?...no.... why?" I said "Cause you were riding behind me so close I thought I had money stuck to my back bumper that you wanted to rip off.....!! LOL. Now......give me your information so I can give you a white slip of paper so you have a reminder of why you shouldn't tailgate someone.... especially a marked police car.

DUH? Its called....my job security

I have not had mine for very long at all, but I am noticing a new trend in my Camaro. People that need to be in front of me. Almost like they are racing me...in traffic...on a crowded freeway. Not trying to add to the stereotype, but the 3 times in 3 days I have seen this now has been an older Honda or similar with a can exhaust, and the one this morning had spray-painted wheels.

Similar to above comments, it is kind of like they don't get why I would not be driving like an asshat. Oddly enough, for all of their efforts to get ahead in traffic, they never seem to get more than 3 or 4 cars ahead of me. I just sit in the center lane and relax on my way to work staying steady and watch them bounce in and out of traffic "spinning their wheels" so to speak, and never really getting anywhere.

Must be hard to stress out that much about getting there, wherever that may be, first.
