I love that cam. but I've read a lot and the drivability below 1900-2000 rpms is non existent.

Can't wait for Dyno day! I will most likely be on the dyno as well.

So J.T., you going to go head and do the headers instead of the springs?

That is correct! I honestly don't think I am going to lower for a while. If I lower there will be a lot of places I will scrape that I barely clear now. Add that with a splitter I want to get eventually....bad bad bad

Unless something very unexpected happens I will be there. Will be interested to see what kind of numbers the car will do on a different dyno.

NEAL! It'll be awesome to see you again!

Do you have any more of those "no 5.0" stickers? I want some now that they won't be on a 6 cylinder

Before I start cold calling, can anyone recommend an area dealership with reasonable prices and high quality? I am looking for the best 3.91 gear installation/recalibration scenario that doesn't void my warranty. As I understand it, recalibration of the speedometer by anyone other than the dealership will be seen by GM as a non-GM tune, with warranty implications.

Thanks!

With dealerships.... Book rate is book rate. Youre gonna have to open your wallet for any of them, my guess. Not to mention, probably have to purchase the part at list from them to warranty it as well.

I don't think you're going to get a deal at any dealership. It's the only way to go if you're trying not to void the warranty though. I've had good experience with Jim Ellis on Peachtree Industrial, but that's just for normal service. They quoted me $1900 to replace the factory exhaust because it developed a rattle and I was out of my bumper to bumper warranty period. Never the less, I bought a new diffuser and mufflers from Southern Comfort from a NPP swap on his old 1LE and my buddy welded it in for free.

And I blew that $50 bucks on an oil change at the dealer...
Go figure.

Seems to be how it goes! Who all is running a catch can? Thinking about getting one, but have seen mixed reviews. Is it worth it?

I have one...I say its worth it. Every oil change I drain about an inch deep (in a 16.9 oz kroger water bottle) of junk out of the can.

Can't hurt, doesn't cost a lot...so I say why not!

We converted to winter gas about a month ago, some terminals may still be blending off summer gas.. And depending on where you gas up the ethanol blend varies..
