Anyone break an Auto in a Stock ZL1 yet?

I just bought a stock 2013 ZL1 yesterday with 41k on it. Took it for a good long test drive, did paperwork, and started driving the car home. Then I stopped at a traffic light and when the light turned green I took my foot off of the brake and the car didnt start to creep forward, I though that was strange but then I pressed the gas in and it revved up to about 1300 RPM with no load on it then suddenly the transmission re-engaged and I was jolted forward. This happened for every other light on the way home.

If I'm in motion and keeping the RPM above 1100 it will stay engaged. These symptoms are leading me to think low fluid level or clogged Trans filter. But if the filter is clogged with debris at only 41k I'm not sure I'd want to keep that trans in the car, That's alot of material worn off to do that to a trans in such a short amount of time.

Hopefully I'm not without the car too long, I'm pretty upset over this. Didn't even have it for 24 hours.

Wow, that really stinks. I'd be interested to hear what the problem is. There are a few guys with a lot of miles on their ZL1's, but I'd bet most are in the 3-4K miles per year category like me. The good news is, I have about 8-10 years before I hit 41K miles. Bad news is, I'll be way out of warranty by then.

The A6 6l90 is a great transmission. Take it to get checked as it could be just low on fluid. I have pushed 900whp thru mine and still works perfect. Lots of smiles and fun are on the way once you get this issue sorted.

That depends on where you live and how you bought it. Federal "cool-off laws" don't apply to automobile purchases and most states don't have mandatory unwind clauses. Dealer MAY be willing to help either way, but don't bank on that.

5 yr and 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. Take it to chevy dealer and get a new trans.

Awesome! Just wanted to say I've had my service done With Servicing Stop and they are really good! They picked my car up from mine on time, took my car to a local garage, called me up to confirm anything that needed doing and dropped my car back off to mine, all within the time they said! Quick and easy, would recommend to anyone who has a busy life or just in general!

My transmission just went couple weeks ago. 36000 miles. Highly modded. 715 who on motor and up to 855 who on nitrous. Replacing with fully built and upgraded one.
