Rod, have you tuned in that buck fifty shot yet? I seen some jetting in the othern forum, but don't know where those jets come from. I'm assuming you.

You running that shot yet? I'm gonna play with it, and see if it will tune in with.this throttle body. It takes the computer a little bit to get used to it, when you change the jets.

I also want to remind you guys that there is still some room for improvement. If you ever had a chance to examine the factory ignition timing map you will notice that the timing will peak around 4k rpm then it will start to drop, and we will sometimes see a difference by almost 10* by redline. You can change the ignition timing to whatever but the timing will drive according to the set factory curve which I believe need to be controlled. The torque drops along with timing creating dips and some what of a gradual down slope. The good thing is that I think we can gain extra ponies up top and/or stabilize the torque curve if we can stabilize the timing up top. The downside of this is that we don't have an option at this point to change things as we wish. I was actually going to try this next but it look like vince has his hands full and have other things to do This is one of the logs on e85 that should give you guys some ideas of how the factory timing curve look like. This is 3rd WOT. Hopefully soon I can get back to it RPM SPARKADV° 3254 25.5 3322 25.5 3393 25.5 3393 22.5 3476 22.5 3540 23 3615 25.5 3615 25.5 3689 25.5 3762 25.5 3838 26 3838 27 3917 27 3992 27.5 4064 27.5 4064 27.5 4147 27.5 4222 27.5 4300 27 4300 27 4374 27 4452 27.5 4531 27 4531 27 4609 27 4680 27 4758 25.5 4758 25.5 4832 25.5 4907 25.5 4992 25.5 4992 24.5 5063 24.5 5139 24.5 5214 24 5214 23 5298 23 5370 23 5444 23 5444 23 5516 23 5592 23 5668 24 5668 24 5747 24 5812 24 5891 23 5891 23 5962 23 6030 23 6101 23 6101 23 6164 23 6232 23 6292 22.5 6292 23 |

I'm coming along. I've been dragging butt most of the summer in this heat, but it looks like I may have time to finally drill that hole in the Vararam or the intake manifold and install the nozzle. I'll also be playing with the jets due to the E85. Wish me luck.

The moonshine up north is different during the winter. From what I'm reading they go down to 70% ethanol to help the hard-start in the cold weather states, and you, sir, are in a cold weather state. I don't know when they switch to the winter blend, but it'll be something to watch for.

Yeah but I only ran it once and never did check the afr. I was having a major vibration problem that was consuming my attention.

Hey usa1 shoot me a PM next time you go to the strip. I haven't been since I met you like a year ago, and I've modded a lot since then. Not to mention I'd like to see you run.
