Drove Wedding Party :p
I moved overseas to Bulgaria a few years ago. I brought my 2011 2SS with me because, it was paid for, nicely modified, my 4th mid-life crisis, and I have been driving Camaros for over 22 years.
A friend approached me here about driving a wedding couple and I was skeptical that they would really want me to drive them because, as we know, there is almost no room in Camaros for more than 2 people unless the others are small children. They saw pictures of the car and decided they would like to have me drive. Its funny here...The cops don't know what to do with me if they stop me because they think I am Mafia and I am still running custom plates from the states. I was running my colored Halo lights the whole way in gradient cycle mode. I told them that all they could put balloons on the back but, nothing else. To my dismay, the guy wants to attach flowers to the hood but, thankfully, it was a vacuum mount so I agreed. The flowers make it look a lot less sinister but....Below is the video: And a good time was had by all! Last edited by carnaud; 05-15-2015 at 03:14 PM. |

My wife is Bulgarian and we found out we were pregnant before we decided to move here. I thought it would be good to move here because she has a large family and it would be good to have some support. Also...It is one of the poorest countries in the EU and American dollars go a long way here. We bought an apartment and settled down in the middle of the city near the presidency on a pedestrian boulevard. The people are nice and the food is amazing. The countryside reminds me a lot of the Shenandoah valley in VA but, it looks like that from one side of the country to the other. Lots of mountains, lakes, streams, valleys, etc. It is about as big as VA although the population is smaller. The mountain chains span the length of the country and end up dipping into the Black Sea. It is beautiful. They have a very old and deep culture and moral system which, unfortunately, is being eroded by "western" values since the fall of socialism. Her family is good though They grew up in a time of social and economic turmoil but, did very well as a family unit given both parents were well educated and had good jobs at the time. They had milk, cheese, bread, etc. when others went without. I don't mean to make it sound like a third world country....it isn't. Bulgaria has a tumultuous past and the people are very strong.

No...I grew up in the North End of VA Beach. I just thought the spider complimented the sinister look of the ride and knew that my plate frame would cover the UR text My youngest daughter is actually enrolled there now and will be starting fall semester. One can get any interest group plate one wants in VA. It just so happens that this one fit the look.

I bought a dash DVR before I came because money is "proof" here and wanted to make sure that I did not get caught up in a situation where [$] said this and [$] said that. Here is a taste of driving here. It is downright challenging to say the least: Sorry for the sound track. It was what was in the mood for that day.

Apparently lane lines are merely a suggestion there? Almost too risky taking that car out on the road.

It's funny...you cant see it on camera but, this guy made the sign of the cross when I stopped and honked my horn because I gave him the stare and probably thought I was mafia. You definitely want to try driving here...it is almost like driving a rally! |
