GM approved undercarriage paint?

Hello,

Did an oil change and saw that my Camaro is getting older. A couple of rust spots on the suspension and undercarrage. Probably from rock chips going 140 down the autobahn.

Is there a part number for the "black" paint that GM used in the factory? If not, is there a good substitution? Thanks.

Black Epoxy Primer

PPG DP90LF with DP401LF Catalyst. Sand to clean metal first. Can be brushed or sprayed. Wear a respirator, particularly if spraying. Cosmetically spraying is the way to go. For corrosion resistance, it doesn't matter.

Rustoleum! Or whatever the equivalent is in your neck of the woods. Has worked extremely well on my beater truck...

Not sure, but the PPG stuff is a dead ringer and will hold back corrosion better than rattle can stuff. The stuff from the factory is likely a dipped ELPO product like the bodies generally get. No real way to duplicate that in your garage.
