Just to be clear on my end.
This car came in only for a methanol kit and relocate the intake air temp sensor into the blower.
When we got the car Dan asked us to take it for a drive and see what we think. He just mentioned hearing it ping in certain area's and some gear whine from the back.

We decided to take it for a drive before working on it. Luckily we did. The test drive showed his knock sensors working pretty good in certain area's which can be fixed easily. what I didn't expect was the the clicking noise from the rear after the car got warm. It was serious enough to me that I almost parked the car and towed it back. During the ride the gear whine got pretty loud in some area's. Can be normal on raced gears.

We decided to put the car on the lift and check things out. Driver side axle had no play side/side. I messed with it a bit to make sure it didn't pop out of the CV. We verified the axle was too long and binding in the CV. Called DSS and they said send it in and they WILL take care of it.
Since the car was up in the air we pulled the other axle and rear to check out. Pass side axle checked out good. The rear was pulled apart, backlash was verified and in check. Gear wear looked ok. Pulled the posi unit out and noticed the bearing wear inside the races, then noticed the wear on the cap/case that shows it walking/spinning.
Measured the caps ect. got a .0002 interference compared to the bearing race. Could of been from the worn in case race, don't know.

After seeing that we decided to try another low mileage rear which is coming.

Right now we are just waiting on parts to come in. Keep in mind this car was only here for methanol and retune for it. 2 day job. Just turned into more.

I guess they took the high road because of there excellent reputation on this site. I'm just a little guy that can't hurt them.

I heard from "him" today too. Me and Matt were having a conversation then he decided to jump in. Although, Matt and I did have a good laugh at his expense.

Yup, he seems to be infecting everyone. I'd like to see how many texts he has per month.
