Jim Mero is one of the engineers for the Corvette. He drove the Corvette for its last 'Ring attempt as well. These engineers know the car so well, I bet that they would run right with a pro like Jan Magnussen.

And it was a 2008 Viper. The 2010 had much better gearing but hasn't been back to the Ring. We'll see what happens when the new Viper emerges in 2013. It'll be interesting.
