GM Military Pricing (Dealer Issues)

My dealer called me today-- We originally agreed on October 13th, 2008 that I'd recieve the military discount if GM allowed it. Now that production is 10 days away from my Camaro... he called me today to tell me he doesn't think GM is going to allow the military discount. I asked him directly, "Is it GM you're worried about... or the dealership manager?" He told me that if I can prove to him that GM is allowing Military discount for the Camaro then they would probably allow it.

I think it's complete BS that I have to prove they are allowing the discount. They should be the ones proving to me that GM IS NOT allowing the discount. But with minimal time, I want to prove this as fast as possible. I've heard numerous times in the past month that GM is allowing the mil discount-- I need the help of you Camaro fans to find me the documents to prove it in writing.

PLEASE HELP!!!

The only place I've heard it was the January IDL and I haven't seen anything (other than what Scotty said) in writing. Frustrating to say the least.

Get yourself a login and go through the motions. If it's like the credit union (supplier) discounts after you go through you will be able to pick the 2010 Camaro and get an approval number.

Yup it's up to the dealer to honor the discount not GM. I tried it at the dealership I ordered my Camaro from but they said they are not going to honor it. It sucks but oh well what can we do. It wouldn't matter to me cause I'm still ordering the car.

His dealer isn't saying he won't honor it. He's saying show me where GM is allowing us to honor it; big difference...

It's the same deal with the Supplier discount, and the Employee discount, which I am eligible for both, but it's still up in the air as to whether GM is going to offer it. It's very frustrating, but it won't affect my order - which is what GM is probably waiting for. They probably are waiting for us diehards to order without it, then they will turn on the discounts.

This is why the dealers have not been putting the price of the car on the sales order, so now that everyone signed that paper that said MSRP but verbally told you it would be fine, will start the games now!

GM is offering it, it's the dealers that are not offering it and acting like GM is not.

Incorrect. I have a GM supplier authorization number already.

My wife got it from GM on the Camaro for the recent collage grad's.
We had to specify that it was for a 2010 Camaro in order to get the discount code, so it dealer BS, not GM.

All it has on the supplier site is "Concept Camaro". Not sure that'll count for "2010 Camaro".

The GM supplier discount site does not list the Camaro. How did you get yours?

That is correct; and that's what my authorization was generated from.
