Buffnshine, I'll be taking my car to Richard Hibbard Chevrolet in Upland for install and programming when the parts arrive. I was told it may take 2 hours for everything. I can't see myself installing the parts and risk ruining the clock spring

You need to order the accessory gauges and yes, they are plug and play.

UGH!!!!!!! The steering wheel harness for the automatics are on national backorder. Will update when my order status changes as that should indicate when they are available.

I find it interesting that the automatic harness is cheaper yet, I'm sure has more wiring and more connectors since it has the paddle shifts. Once I get the one I ordered I'll post pics and do a comparison to the stock 1SS harness. If these things are in short supply it might just be a matter of getting a connector and modifying the harness ourselves. Probably cheaper too.

Yeah i had my parts guy check availability on all three numbers yesterday. There are none of them out there right now. all gm warehouses are sold out and gm is on backorder for all three. Guess more people were waiting on this than i thought

I know you said approximate on price,
I called my dealer on them and they told me at my dealer cost not even retail was $47.21 for the harness and $38.64 for the switch for the automatic.
Retail was about $15 higher for both of them.

Is the dealership ripping me off?

really? you're wondering if the dealership is ripping you off?

funny

I went in to my dealer last week and was thinking about ordering the splash guards from them if the price was right. $200 to sell to me, $170 to sell to my salesman since he gets a discount, or $144 from gmpartsdirect with free shipping.

Techsupport, I got my notification from gmpartsdirect this morning and they only indicated that the harness was on back order. Perhaps I got in the system for the switch before they ran out of them. Doesn't really matter though since I won't have the harness. So, the waiting game begins.

If I want steering wheel controls I take my SSE out. It has volume , fade, balance, mode, station up/down, pre-set, seek, climate control, fan speed etc etc. Kinda miss that the most.
